New Home Buyer Tax Credit Gets Extended

On Thursday, Congress approved The Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009, which effectively extends the tax credit of up to $8,000 for qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal residence, as well as home buyers who have not owned a home for the last three years.
